Restarting the service can be recommended for resolving many issues but we advise opening an OSNEXUS service ticket for review of the system health and basic diagnostics to determine if your system does require a service restart.
A restart of the QuantaStor service does not affect client communication for iSCSI access and can typically be performed at anytime.
To restart the QuantaStor management service, login to the console and run the below command:
service quantastor restart
This is the only way to restart the service outside of a reboot.
Again however, we recommend performing basic diagnostics with the assistance of the OSNEXUS support team prior to making any changes as the issue may be related to something else entirely.
