VMWare ESXi messages repeat in logs: Physical block size not supported

In VMWare ESXi version prior to 6.7u2, QuantaStor users may see messages such as the below for the their block based devices:

cpu85:66743)WARNING: ScsiPath: 4399: The Physical block size "65536" reported by the path vmhba64:C1:T4:L0 is not supported. The only supported physical blocksizes are 512 and 4096
cpu68:68535)WARNING: ScsiDeviceIO: 6468: The Physical block size "65536" reported by the device naa.62000000fasdffb9acf43167dadb5c9a is not supported. The only supported physical blocksizes are 512 and 4096

As noted in the link below about this update to VMWare ESXi, this has been moved to a debug level message to give further information about block sizes. The impact is purely cosmetic and can safely be ignored.

The relevant message on that page is seen here:

PR 2266762: You might see many warnings for unsupported physical block sizes in the vmkernel logs

If you use devices with physical block size other than 4096 or 512 MB, in the vmkernel logs you might see many warnings similar to:
ScsiPath: 4395: The Physical block size "8192" reported by the path vmhba3:C0:T1:L0 is not supported.

This issue is resolved in this release of ESXi. The fix converts the warnings into debug log messages.
